By installing the motors underground you get all the functionality of a fully automated gate system without loosing any of the aesthetic appeal of the gates. On a new gate and post installation the cost of mounting the equipment underground is typically only 10%-15% more than an above ground installation.

There are a range of safety features than can be incorporated into each system such as: Anti-Squash - Sensors detect an object and invert the direction of the gates. Slow Down - as the gates approach the close or open position it is possible to set a slow down function protecting the motor gearing. Safety - vehicles or people positioned between the posts will trigger a photo cell telling the gates to remain open.

Underground Motor The underground motor is available in both a 240Volt and 24Volt package. If ordered in the 24 volts it permits the option of having a battery back-up system, so in the event that the mains power fails at the house you are still able to open the gates from the remote key fobs.
